Kreasi Karya Majakata en-US EDUFORMA https://majakatapress.com/index.php/eduforma/article/view/24 <p><em>Most studies on character education still emphasize normative and pedagogical aspects without sufficiently exploring how value socialization processes operate in shaping students’ habitus. This study aims to analyze the Among Siswa Program as a value socialization practice in the formation of students’ habitus by employing Pierre Bourdieu’s theoretical framework and Ki Hajar Dewantara’s concept of Among Siswa, thereby contributing conceptually to the field of sociology of education and providing practical recommendations for the development of school culture–based educational programs. This study adopts a qualitative approach with a library research design, involving an in-depth analysis of the concepts, meanings, and social relations embedded in the Among Siswa Program as a value socialization practice in shaping students’ habitus. The findings indicate that school culture and rules implemented through the Among Siswa Program function as effective mechanisms of value socialization in shaping students’ character habitus. Through consistent and repetitive educational practices, values such as discipline, responsibility, and social concern are internalized into relatively stable patterns of students’ thinking and behavior.
